  • "I can thoroughly recommend Krissy. Very professional, keeps you updated, very reasonable prices. I presented Krissy with a very old, dilapidated oval raised photograph and in return, I got an amazing photo. Krissy loves what she does, and it certainly shows in her work"

    Bev Schmidt

  • "Many thanks for your painstaking work which I’m sure will contribute considerably to the book’s success, Krissy.

This is all proving to be such an interesting, if challenging, journey!

    All the best"

    Paul

  • "I had a tintype wedding photo from the 40s/50s restored and the result is stunning. The coating on top had distorted the colour and bent the original image out of shape, but Krissy has done a great job of correcting it all! Highly recommend!"

    Jessica Dolan

  • “I would like to say a huge thank you for the wonderful job you did in restoring the photo of my Mum. I gave copies of the photo to each of my siblings when we gathered for the 5th year memorial of her passing.

Everyone was thrilled and it was an emotional moment for us all. I would also like to say thanks for the respectful way you packaged each photo. I was unable to collect them and had to rely on Australia Post. They arrived in perfect condition.

I highly recommend @Art by Krissy for any photos which need restoring”

    Jenny Conlan

  • “I found Art by Krissy Clark on an Australian Genealogy Facebook page offering restoration of old photos. Contact was easy and response was prompt. Krissy’s explanations of how she needed the photographs copied and sent were precise and her honest feedback of what to expect was appreciated given that the photos I had were in very bad shape. I am very happy with the final result and would recommend her services to anyone who needs old photos saved and resurrected”

    Cheers, Robyn Muller

  • “Krissy did a fabulous job of revitalising some old photos of my mum and I that I did not have the original negatives of. She took the time to ensure that we looked like ourselves. Ensuring the correct shape of noses and hair styles (quite the feat as the photos were very sun-damaged) by comparing other images of us around the same time period. The process was fast and painless. It is so nice to have these precious memories restored and digitised now too. Thank you Krissy!"

  • I worked for professional photographer Graeme Parkes in West End for almost 10 years, from the mid 80’s. We did a lot of Black and White copying and needed a professional artist to retouch the work. Krissy Clark was recommended to us from a colour lab. The work Krissy did for us was always excellent. Our clients were always happy that their precious photos got a new life. This was before the dawning of photoshop and digital art. It was all done with paint and airbrushing. Krissys artistic eye always brought a finish that no other artist brought. Several years on, it was a joy that I became aware that Krissy was still doing her art, but had also moved into the digital world. I would highly recommend using Krissy services if you want a photo restored.

Or even check out her artwork. Her artwork is vibrant and I am over the moon with my piece. It sits in pride of place in my lounge room.

  • "After seeing what Krissy had achieved in bringing a mouldy and damaged photo belonging to a museum I volunteer at back to life (and I will add here that I really had no faith it could ever be restored), I entrusted her with a couple of my treasured old family photos. These photos had deteriorated over time and the images were very faded and blurred.

Using her magic, Krissy managed to provide me with images that were amazing. She not only provided them as physical photos (in both sepia and black and white) but she also provided the digital images.

Her prices were not cheap but the amount of work that must have been involved in restoring these and seeing the end result has been worth every cent. You just cannot put a value on treasured family photos and seeing the people in them coming back to life.

Thank you Krissy. I will definitely be using you again when I find more photos that need restoring."

  • "I had a family photograph restored by Krissy and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the moment I reached out, Krissy was professional and attentive. Krissy carefully assessed the condition of the photo and provided a detailed plan for the restoration process.

The quality of the work is outstanding. Krissy skilfully brought a very special memory back to life. I was particularly impressed with how Krissy preserved the original character of the image while repairing and enhancing the overall appearance and colour.

Communication was excellent. Krissy provided a timeline, and the work was delivered on time. It looks incredible, and my family are so happy with it.

Overall, I highly recommend Krissy to anyone looking to restore their old photos. Her expertise and passion for preserving memories truly shines through in her work. I also received a digital copy of the photo, which I thought was very helpful and generous. Thank you so much for restoring a photo I didn’t think was able saveable. I look forward to using you again. Oh and Krissy has a very cute dog!!"

  • Re: Hand colour Antique Map.

Thanks Krissy, nice. I like all the samples, but I DO like the blue/grey one shown. Please proceed, thanks a lot. I will leave it to you as to any other touches which you deem necessary as highlights or accentuations, you have good taste in such matters.

The badge/crest ornament looks great. Anything you can do to provide interest and contrast is appreciated, you have a good eye. Thanks very much Krissy, well done."

  • "Thank you for the wonderful work you did on the photo of my relatives - the 5 Banks girls - taken around 1855-1860 in Cornwall.  It was very poor quality, but such a wonderful photo to still have in the family. My cousin and I are thrilled with the result of your work on it, as it was in such bad condition. I consider your work excellent value and I will have no hesitation in sending you further photos for you to work on and to recommend your work. Cheers"

  • “I was impressed at the extra effort Krissy put into her work for me. This included remounting the framed photo I sent for copying.

Krissy was very approachable and knowledgeable and able to quickly understand and put my requests into effect.

Krissy is dedicated to preserving old and valuable photographic memories and took utmost care in looking after photographs I left with her. Best regards"

  • “l just had a look at the old photo l sent you can’t believe what a difference there is! You’re so clever! You not only fixed up the damaged bits but you actually created the rest of the photo that had been cut away! Amazing!  So thank you again for such fabulous work”

    Toni 😊

  • “My mom’s wall looks spectacular with the photo tiles we had made for her birthday. We can’t thank you enough for fixing up our old family photos and helping us accomplish this for her. You are one talented lady and we are truly appreciative of the enormous effort you put in to achieve this outcome. Again, thank you so very much!”

  • "Krissy helped me with a family photo that hadn’t quite turned out as I had hoped. As it was to be a final family photo that we would never get again I was so disappointed with it.

I rang Krissy and asked if she could help and immediately she invited me to bring the picture to her and she worked her magic on it.

To say I was delighted with the outcome is an understatement. She has given our family an irreplaceable memento that we shall all treasure.

Our thanks to Krissy for taking the time to go above and beyond our expectations.

    Thanks again Krissy"

  • “I sought Krissy’s help with a digital photo of a family member which had been taken from microfiche and was seriously degraded. Alma’s face was heavily obscured and her features unclear, especially one side of her face.

Krissy provided a quote for her work in advance and asked for any deadlines I had. She then restored the photo and was able to bring Alma out of the fog that had hidden her from the world.

She provided a lovely clear black and white digital image, and a sepia alternative.  I found Krissy professional, helpful and timely, and the final product absolutely amazing. It exceeded my expectations of what might be possible with such a damaged image.

Krissy’s restoration skills are excellent and very helpful to family historians and others attempting to preserve the past”

  • Hi there

I came in last week and picked up a map which you framed for me. When I came to collect it, I was unsure whether I liked it and Chrissy (the lady with the dredlocks) was very kind to me about it. Please could you let her know that I have completely come round to it and I love it and a big thank you for all her help when I was choosing the frame in the first place. Thanks.

    Best, Kat

    Hi Kat,

I'm so happy! I was pretty sure you would love it, we looked at a lot of different frames, and you had some good feelings with how your map looked in the one you chose. (It also physically suited the work beautifully, so that was a bonus!)

It can sometimes be a bit harder to choose when there are strong emotional connections with the work, and you have to get used to seeing it in a different way.

Thank you for your email and lovely complements. I'm happy that you're happy! Krissy

  • Hi Krissy, lovely to hear from you.

Thank you for your very kind and generous offer, I really appreciate it and that would be absolutely amazing.

Thank you for reworking your price and for
considering working on the album over a period of time, you are a gorgeous angel 😊

I would love you to continue working on the
    album if that is OK.

Krissy, again thank you so much, you are so
    kind and thoughtful.

When I told my husband how much work was involved in repairing the whole album, he said forget it, and even though that made me feel sad I had to agree with him as we could not afford the full amount to restore all of the photos.

So to now have you give me options is truly wonderful and so special, and I really appreciate it so much. Thank you again.

    Talk soon, Suzanne
